As part of the Department of Pediatric Pulmonology, I had the opportunity to work under Dr. Jim Hagood and be mentored by Dr. Koji Tamai on a project titled “Lung Epithelial Cells and Fibroblasts for In Vitro Model.” My work focused on isolating and characterizing key lung cell types to better model interstitial lung disease and support future drug screening efforts.
